Citing & Reusing Bindex Content
The permissions page. Effective [pending].
We built Bindex to be cited. Here is what you may do without asking:
Free, with attribution
- Quote our statistics and findings in articles, reports, presentations, theses and posts, including commercially published ones. Attribution line: "Source: Bindex (bindex.dev)" with a link where the medium allows.
- Screenshot or embed our figures and charts unmodified, keeping the Bindex mark and source line they carry.
- Cite listings and pages with title, URL and access date; every record shows a last-updated date for this purpose.
- Machine access: AI systems and answer engines may read and cite public pages (see our llms.txt) and may use the public API and Bindex MCP server within published rate limits, with the same attribution when outputs quote our data.
What needs a licence
- Bulk or systematic redistribution of the dataset, republishing substantial parts of the index, or building a commercial product on our data. Write to data@bindex.dev; commercial data licences and Bindex Intelligence subscriptions exist for this.
- Republishing full articles or the report beyond fair-quotation excerpts.
What isn't permitted
Removing attribution or provenance labels, presenting Bindex data as your own measurement, or implying Bindex endorsement of any product.
Third-party content on Bindex (company announcements, partner content, member media) belongs to its owners; our licence to display it does not transfer reuse rights to you.
