Listing Policy
What gets listed, how records are made, and the rules that keep the index honest. Effective [pending]. Part of the Terms of Service.
What qualifies
A listing is a company offering a real, identifiable insurance-relevant technology capability: APIs, MCP servers, SDKs, platforms, data services or tooling used by the insurance industry. Products qualify; consultancies' practices, job boards and marketing sites do not. The company must exist, its website must resolve, and the capability described must be an actual product.
Carriers and insurers are listed on the same basis as any provider: the market-facing capability is the listing, not the company.
How records are created
- Compiled from public sources by Bindex research, labeled "public sources" with a last-checked date. Fields we cannot verify are shown as "not stated", never guessed.
- Claimed and maintained by the company via domain-verified email, labeled accordingly ("self-reported"/"claimed"). Claimed records override compiled data.
- Suggested by the community and drafted by us from public sources before publication.
The rules
- Listing is free and cannot be bought, sold or expedited by payment.
- Search and directory order derive from relevance and record data only; plan status is excluded from every ranking code path.
- AI capabilities must be declared by category, not slogans.
- MCP availability is listed only when vendor-published and publicly verifiable; community wrappers are tracked separately.
- Freshness is visible; stale records are labeled, not hidden.
- We decline or remove listings for: misrepresentation, defunct products, unlawful offerings, or repeated policy breaches, with reasons given.
Corrections
Anyone may propose a correction with a source. Companies control their claimed records; disputes and removals follow the Takedown & Corrections process.
